Metering is when a user’s usage of Answers counts toward a predefined limit or quota.There are currently two kinds of actions for engaging with Answers:
  • clicking on a pre-generated question (e.g. Explore Questions and follow-up questions)
  • submitting an organic query (e.g. user types in a question)
Clicks on pre-generated questions do not count toward metering. All user types generally have unlimited usage of these.Submitting an organic query will count toward metering and will be handled based on the metering rules which have been defined for different user types (e.g. anonymous, registered, or subscribed users).
